Tom left the small farm behind to pursue a degree at the University of Rhode Island. Soon after graduation, Tom’s businessman instincts and experience took hold. Seeing a need for a wholesale egg supplier in his home state, Tom took the opportunity to start his business. In 1985, with a small truck, a modest refrigerated warehouse and keen business sense, Imondi Foods was born.

The business grew and the product line expanded to meet customer demands.  In 2004 Imondi Foods moved into a 35,000 sq ft faculty in West Warwick, R.I.   The building was updated and expanded into a modern facility with new freezers, coolers and loading docks to accommodate the ever increasing product line.  We are now able to service a wide variety of customers, while maintaining our attractive prices and exceptional service.​

Our History

Imondi Foods began with an entrepreneurial spirit, practical experience, many hours of hard work, a good amount of common sense and a truck. 

Founder and owner Tom Imondi spent his youth on a small family run farm in Cranston, RI. The farm had chickens and a variety of crops which provided food for his family and then the excess eggs were sold off to the surrounding neighbors.
